• Move your mouse to control your snake's direction
• Collect colorful food items to grow longer and earn points
• Avoid hitting other snakes or the world boundaries

• The goal is to become the longest snake on the leaderboard!

No! You can play as a guest by simply entering a nickname. However, signing in with Google allows you to:

• Save your progress and statistics
• Unlock achievements
• See your ranking history
• Keep your display name across sessions

We only store your Google User ID - not your email, name, or profile picture.

Yes! Trippy Snake is completely free to play. We display ads to support the game's development and server costs.

Trippy Snake features various food items and power-ups:

• Regular Food: Mushrooms, rainbows, crystals, unicorns - each worth different points
• Speed Boost: Temporarily increases your movement speed
• Extra Life: Gives you a second chance if you crash
• Zoom Out: Expands your view of the game world
• Money Bags: Multiply your points (2x, 5x, or 10x)
• Item Magnet: Attracts nearby food items to you

Boosting temporarily increases your speed but consumes points. To boost:

• Press and hold the spacebar or right-click
• You need at least 30 points to boost, and boosting never drops you below that
• The cost scales with your size, so bigger snakes burn points much faster (roughly 20% of your score per 10 seconds of boosting)
• Most of the points you spend drop as food along your trail for anyone to pick up - including you, if you double back
• Your turning ability is enhanced while boosting
• Use it strategically to escape danger or catch food!

Yes! Before starting a game, you can choose from 8 vibrant colors for your snake. Simply click on the color circle that you prefer on the login screen.

No. There is no spawn protection - you can be killed the moment you enter the world, so check your surroundings before you start moving.

The only invincibility in the game comes from the Extra Life power-up. When it saves you, you get 5 seconds of invincibility and a countdown appears above your snake so you know exactly when it runs out.

When your snake dies (by hitting another snake or the boundary), you'll see a death screen showing your final score and statistics. You can then:

• Click "Respawn" to start a new game immediately
• View the leaderboard to see your ranking
• If you're signed in, your stats are automatically saved

Your snake also scatters food worth about 80% of your score around the spot where you died. The bigger you were, the bigger the feeding frenzy you leave behind.

Try these solutions:

• Close other browser tabs and applications
• Use a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
• Check your internet connection
• Disable browser extensions that might interfere
• Try a different browser if the issue persists
• Clear your browser cache and reload the page

Common control issues:

• Make sure your mouse cursor is over the game canvas
• Click on the game screen to give it focus
• On mobile, touch and drag to control your snake
• Refresh the page if controls become unresponsive

Trippy Snake is in active development. Occasionally, we need to restart the server for updates and improvements. We're working on minimizing these restarts. Your progress is saved if you're signed in with Google.

We take your privacy seriously. When you sign in with Google, we only collect your Google User ID. We do NOT collect, store, or use your:

• Email address
• Real name
• Profile picture

To delete your account and all associated data:

• Sign in to your account
• Click the "Delete Account" button on the login screen
• Confirm the deletion (this action cannot be undone)
• All your data, statistics, and achievements will be permanently removed

Yes! Your username is automatically saved when you start a game. To change it:

• Return to the login screen (logout if needed)
• Enter a new username in the text field
• Start a new game - your new username will be saved

Absolutely! We encourage content creation. You are free to:

• Stream gameplay on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, or any platform
• Create videos, tutorials, or highlights
• Monetize your content (ads, sponsorships, etc.)
• Share screenshots and clips on social media

Not yet! Currently, Trippy Snake is a web-based game that works on mobile browsers. Simply visit trippy-snake.io on your mobile device to play. A dedicated mobile app may be developed in the future.
